Alyse makes an excellent point that overwhelming amounts of “fake news” make it hard for users to form their own opinion, causing them to rely on “experts”. In a decentralized system where the users are in charge, this becomes a serious attack vector.

Good stuff, I understand the message she tried to send. But if this good stuff have to be reached out to many people, will be better if the presentation will not include boring/not visible text, the speaker need a bit more training to not let audience to get asleep.
Maybe she needs advice from those people that help Andreas with his presentations.
We need more people talking good stuff about Bitcoin, but not boring style presentations.

It’s funny how some people are so strongly opposed to Segwit2x, bet everything on the lightning network. but then don’t even care too much the actual timeline. LN will likely take several years before reaching 1 million users.

Despite all cheerleading and pep rallies, social attacks will succeed.

Only math and game theory will withstand the blistering flame throwers of the establishment.

fortunately, that’s all it takes. She’s proposing a losing strategy for a battle that doesn’t need to be won.

Decentralization is a myth. All the mining is done by a few in China and most of the bitcoins are concentrated in exchanges. Which are now pseudo bitcoin banks.

Bitcoin is turning out to be far more centralized then the traditional financial sector – and allot more prone to corruption.

That’s why Bit Coin Cash had huge adoption in under a month.. There was a market with users.. It’s the others played an important part in making this hard fork a success.
